As severe thunderstorms moved across the area, they produced high winds.In Essex County, wind gusts were measured at 70 mph in Millburn and 65 mph at Summit. High winds downed trees in Bloomfield and Montclair.In Union County, high winds downed trees in Westfield, Hillside, and Union. A tree fell on a house in Hillside. Power lines were also downed in Union.In Bergen County, high winds downed power lines.In Hudson County, high winds downed trees in Harrison and trees and power lines in Bayonne.In Passaic County, high winds downed trees in Wayne.
