Heavy rain in the Raritan River drainage basin that averaged between 2.0 and 2.5 inches helped push the main stem of the Raritan River and the Millstone River above bankfull and cause some minor flooding. The Millstone River at Blackwell Mills was above its 9 foot flood stage from 6 a.m. EST on the 24th through 2 a.m. EST on the 25th. It crested at 9.9 feet at 2 p.m. EST on the 24th. Along the main stem Raritan River, at Manville its 12 foot flood stage was exceeded from 5 a.m. until 11 a.m. EST on the 24th. It crested at 12.3 feet at 745 a.m. EST. Farther downstream in Bound Brook, the Raritan River was above its 26 foot flood stage from 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. EST on the 24th. It crested at 26.4 feet at 2 p.m. EST. No serious damage was reported.
