Many trees were blown down, homes had extensive roofing damage, and vehicles had damage from the hail. Nine-tenths of an inch of rain was recorded at the airport in 20 minutes, causing flooding of low lying areas.

A thunderstorm caused a 59 mph wind gust, recorded at the Missoula airport at 307 pm MST, and many reports of large hail were received, the largest being tennis ball sized in the Target Range area at 315 pm.Many trees were blown down, homes had extensive roofing damage, and vehicles had damage from the hail. Nine-tenths of an inch of rain was recorded at the airport in 20 minutes, causing flooding of low lying areas.
