Severe thunderstorm winds in Kansas City gusted to 71 MPH at 31st and Main and to 62 MPH at 63rd and Troost. Numerous large trees were blown down and many homes temporarily lost power. East of Kansas City in Oak Grove, thunderstorm winds gusted to 65 MPH.

Heavy rain from thunderstorms produced flash flooding in sections of Martin City and Grandview. A National Weather Service employee reported 2 to 4 feet of water on Wyandotte Street between 135th and 138th Streets. The East Creek also overflowed its banks along Route 150 near Grandview.
