Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated near 70 mph downed numerous trees and power lines across parts of south St. Louis County and north Jefferson County. A local deli in Arnold lost about $4000 worth of food due to the length of the power outage. Over 100,000 customers were without power in the area, with about 15,000 still without power 2 days later. Some minor structural damage also occurred. primarily to some roofs and carports.
