Damaging Winds in Missouri, July 22, 1998
A severe thunderstorm packing wind gusts up to 70 mph damaged hundreds of trees and left most of the town without power for over 3 hours. Local officials commented that it was the worst tree damage they have seen in 10 years.

A severe thunderstorm packing wind gusts up to 70 mph damaged hundreds of trees and left most of the town without power for over 3 hours. Local officials commented that it was the worst tree damage they have seen in 10 years. Highways 100, 19 and Route H were temporarily blocked due to downed trees or limbs. The skirting on a portable building at the Hermann Middle School was also damaged.
