Lightning Strike in Maine, July 1, 1998
Lightning struck two men in New Sharon while they were working beneath a car inside a garage. One man was transported to a nearby hospital and had a large red spot on his chest and weakness in both arms.

Lightning struck two men in New Sharon while they were working beneath a car inside a garage. One man was transported to a nearby hospital and had a large red spot on his chest and weakness in both arms. He was treated, observed, then released. The other man was treated at the scene for minor burns on his hands. The lightning also ignited a small fire that was quickly extinguished.
