Flooding in Louisiana, March 8 to 9, 1998
Heavy rain between March 6 and March 8 resulted in considerable runoff and dramatic rise in several rivers. Several gaged river stations along the Tangiphoa, Tchefuncte, and Bogue Falaya Rivers exceeded flood stage by 1 to 3 feet for a short period of time.

Several gaged river stations along the Tangiphoa, Tchefuncte, and Bogue Falaya Rivers exceeded flood stage by 1 to 3 feet for a short period of time. The main impact was flooding of low lying areas and roadways near the rivers.
