Heavy rainfall of 3 to 5 inches occurred across much of St. Tammany Parish during the day resulting in considerable street flooding in many communities, and caused small streams to go out of their banks. Near the Bogue Falaya River several autos were flooded and the first floor of building near the river was flooded. In Slidell, a few homes had minor flooding. Near Abita Springs, several small streams flooded causing several state highways to close because of flooding.
