A severe thunderstorm struck the Formoso area near 530 p.m. CDT and dumped up to four inches of rain along with 60 mph winds. The wind tore a part of a porch roof from one home and downed numerous tree limbs. The wind teamed with nickel sized hail north of town to damage corn in the area.
