Heavy rainfall from two to ten inches on the 22nd in the Eel River basin of North Central Indiana resulted in another round of flooding of the Wabash River from Lafayette to Sullivan. Water levels reached up to six foot over flood stage and were comparable to the June 1998 floods along this stretch of river.

Heavy rainfall from two to ten inches on the 22nd in the Eel River basin of North Central Indiana resulted in another round of flooding of the Wabash River from Lafayette to Sullivan. Water levels reached up to six foot over flood stage and were comparable to the June 1998 floods along this stretch of river. Once again, agricultural lands and low lying roads were the only areas affected. And once again, the flooded crops were either destroyed or severely damaged. Fortunately, the affected crops only account for a small percentage of Indiana's tillable lands.
