An ancient hollow oak tree 7 feet in diameter was toppled onto a duplex on Hedges street, destroying it. Trees landed on several other homes as well. Power lines were downed throughout the area, knocking out power at thousands of homes and businesses. Traffic lights were out at several intersections.
