A line of thunderstorms, some containing dime to nickel-sized hail and strong thunderstorm winds, developed from southeast Oklahoma into northwest Arkansas on the evening of Feb. 25. The only severe report from northwest Arkansas was dime-sized hail in Bella Vista.The thunderstorms formed in an unseasonably warm and moist air mass along a pre-frontal trough as an upper level disturbance in southwest flow aloft passed overhead.
