Three to four inches of rain across the central and south parts of the county caused many small streams to overflow their banks. Many secondary roads had standing water in them especially along US Hwy 59 south of I-10. Most secondary roads near the communities of Silverhill and Foley were impassable and some even washed out. because of the heavy rains.
