Fire started in northern Niobrara County evening of 7/24 put out 7/26 after firefighters logged 28 hrs of duty and used 50000-60000 gallons of water; grass and cottonwood trees were consumed; no livestock lost.
Fire burned 50 acres of timber on a ranch south of Horseshoe Creek and west of I-25; same fire started up again 7/26 and burned additional 150 acres of timber before containment.
