On July 3, a fast moving cold front crossed southern Vermont during the late afternoon and evening hours. In Windham County at Westminster, thunderstorm winds downed hundreds of trees and several cars were crushed under trees along Alden Street. Trees were also downed by the wind at Rockingham and Bellows Falls. In Bellows Falls fallen trees destroyed a garage and a vehicle.
