Late afternoon and evening thunderstorms moved across central portions of Vermont. Some of t he storms were accompanied by strong winds with some tree limbs blown down. Brief very heavy rain was reported with a few of the storms in Rutland county where a weather spotter in Shrewsbury , VT reported 1.40 inches of rain in about 15 minutes.
