Drought in Texas, June 1 to 30, 1997
Widespread showers and thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall to much of the area previously stricken by drought. Rainfall produced flooding over an area along and east of a line from Rocksprings to Uvalde to Pearsall, leaving only the extreme southwest corner of South Central Texas still under drought through June.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall to much of the area previously stricken by drought. Rainfall produced flooding over an area along and east of a line from Rocksprings to Uvalde to Pearsall, leaving only the extreme southwest corner of South Central Texas still under drought through June. Monthly damages are based on the estimated annual loss to agriculture across all of Texas through this year. Property damages do not include business or commercial revenue losses.
