Unseasonably cool temperatures prevailed across north and central Georgia the first 11 days of June. High temperatures were in the 60s and 70s while lows were in the 50s and 60s. The resultant average temperatures ranged from 5 to 15 degrees below normal. Record low maximum temperatures were established on 4 consecutive days from the 5th through the 8th in Atlanta.
