Late March flooding on the Mocassin Creek from backwater from the Elm River and snowmelt continued into the middle of April. A portion of the Prariewood subdvision north of Aberdeen continued to flood into early April as numerous homes received significant damage.

Late March flooding on the Mocassin Creek from backwater from the Elm River and snowmelt continued into the middle of April. A portion of the Prariewood subdvision north of Aberdeen continued to flood into early April as numerous homes received significant damage. Mocassin Creek rose nearly four feet through the city of Aberdeen flooding some low-lying areas, a few buildings, and parts of a recreation trail.
