Severe thunderstorms developed in McIntosh and Pittsburg Counties during the late evening of October 30th and early morning of October 31st. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 miles an hour near Kiowa, and quarter size hail fell 10 miles east of Checotah. Dime to nickel size hail fell at Eufaula and at Pittsburg, and dime size hail fell 4 miles northeast of Eufaula. The thunderstorms also produced very heavy rainfall which caused Brushy Creek to briefly overflow its banks resulting in flash flooding in the town of Blanco.
