Severe thunderstorms moved across northeast Oklahoma during the late evening of May 1st and early morning of May 2nd. Strong thunderstorm winds blew down large tree limbs in Oilton, 11 miles north of Okmulgee, and 7 miles east of Broken Arrow, and thunderstorm winds gusted to 65 miles an hour 7 miles west of Sand Springs and near Muskogee. Thunderstorm winds gusted up to 61 miles an hour at an automated observing site 3 miles east northeast of Pawnee and to 60 miles an hour in Fairfax, in Pawnee, and 7 miles northwest of Sand Springs. Nickel size hail fell 1 mile north of Pawnee and at Glenpool, and dime size hail fell 2 miles west of Bristow.
