A tornado touched down near State Route 98 five miles south of Marion. It remained on the ground for only a short time, but did considerable damage to a house and nearby barn. One window was broken, and half of the house roof was blown off, along with a TV antenna and siding. The roof was almost blown off of the barn and trees were downed and twisted.
