During the late evening hours of May 19, a cold front initiated several severe thunderstorms across the Mid-Hudson Valley of eastern New York. Trees were downed by the wind in Ulster and Dutchess Counties. Scattered power outages also occurred when trees knocked down several power lines. Approximately 1,000 customers lost power for several hours.
