A thunderstorm reached severe levels across central and eastern sections of the county. Numerous trees and wires were blown over in and around Rome. Further east, more trees came down in the town of Oriskany.

A thunderstorm briefly became severe over northern portions of the county. Downburst winds downed several trees and power lines in the Triangle area.

The same severe storm that produced large hail and damaging winds in Cortland county developed into a short line of severe thunderstorms upon entering Chenango county. The storms produced widespread wind damage as they ripped through southern Chenango county. The storms first affected Greene and areas just to the north. Numerous trees were downed in these localities. The storms then continued rapidly eastward and inflicted more damage from South Oxford to Bainbridge. Many trees, some with diameters as large as two feet, were blown down along this path.

A short lived severe thunderstorm developed over southeastern portions of the county. Numerous trees and wires were downed in the Richfield Springs area. Then as the storm moved into Unadilla, it knocked down a few more large trees prior to weakening.

The same storm that produced wind damage earlier in the afternoon in northern Broome county re-intensified to severe levels across the northern tier of Delaware county. The storm first affected the Sidney area, downing many large trees and wires. As the storm moved eastward, it continued to knock down trees in the towns of South Kortright, Franklin, and Hobart. Large trees were blown across several streets in Stamford. Shortly thereafter, the storm exited the county.
