Localized heavy snow of 4 to 6 inches was reported at Eagle Nest and El Rito in northern New Mexico and 8 inches at the El Morro National Monument southwest of Grants. Several additional inches were recorded at Chama causing a snow bank to fall off a shop roof, breaking a gas line and starting a fire.
