Severe thunderstorms caused wind damage in the southwest and central parts of Sussex County. Uprooted trees fell on homes in Fredon and Stillwater. But, the worst damage occurred along the Frankford/Lafayette Township lines where numerous trees were downed. About 1,600 homes lost power, mainly in the southeast part of the county. Also a large section of the county's Juvenile Detention Center fencing was blown down.
