Hail and Damaging Winds in New Jersey, July 9, 1997
A severe thunderstorm tore the tops from and uprooted several 50 to 100 foot trees in Hopewell Township mainly around Featherbed Lane and Van Dyke Road. One uprooted tree sent a doghouse underneath it airborne during the thunderstorm.

A severe thunderstorm tore the tops from and uprooted several 50 to 100 foot trees in Hopewell Township mainly around Featherbed Lane and Van Dyke Road. One uprooted tree sent a doghouse underneath it airborne during the thunderstorm. Other thunderstorms ripped a small portion of a roof from a home on Calhoun Street in Trenton and dropped dime size hail in Lawrenceville.
