A severe thunderstorm pulled down trees and power lines in the eastern half of Sussex County. It also dropped golf ball size hail in Andover. Downed trees closed U.S. Route 206 between Newton and County Route 618 in Andover for two hours. Frequent lightning as well as the downed trees and power lines caused about 5,000 homes to lose power in Sussex and Warren Counties.
