Strong winds caused by convective showers and thunderstorms downed numerous trees throughout southeastern New Hampshire. The falling trees knocked down power lines cutting off electricity to an estimated 15,000 customers. The line of showers and thunderstorms developed ahead of an approaching cold front and also caused small hail in some communities. Record warmth preceded the line of showers with Concord reporting a high temperature of 67 degrees at 1:42 pm, breaking the previous record for the day of 57 degrees.
