Gradient winds behind a cold front gusted over 50 mph across parts of northeast Missouri and east Missouri and west central Ilinois from afternoon into the evneing. Trees and power lines were downed throughout the area, some outbuildings damaged, roof shingles torn off, and outdoor signs damaged.

Gradient winds behind a cold front gusted over 50 mph across parts of northeast Missouri and east Missouri and west central Ilinois from afternoon into the evneing. Trees and power lines were downed throughout the area, some outbuildings damaged, roof shingles torn off, and outdoor signs damaged. An automobile accident in St. Francois County Missouri resulting in the death of one person was also blamed on the strong winds.
