Heavy rain accompanied thunderstorms which produced vivid lightning over southeastern Massachusetts, including Cape Cod. Rainfall totals ranged from 1 to 3 inches, with a maximum of 3.5 inches in East Dennis and Onset. Fairhaven reported a total of 2.58 inches. All of the rain occurred within a 12 hour period.
