A line of thunderstorms moved across the state beginning in the early afternoon in Hampshire County and then moving eastward through Worcester County to the eastern part of the state by mid-afternoon. The storms produced mostly dime size hail at scattered locations. Gusty winds estimated up to 50 mph accompanied some of the storms. Boston's Logan International Airport recorded a peak gust to 40 mph at 3:36 PM. A lot of pea size hail was reported in North Plymouth, in Plymouth County.
