Severe thunderstorms caused wind damage over Tangipahoa and St. Tammany Parishes. Trees were downed in Independence and golf ball size hail also accompanied the thunderstorm. In the Folsom area, over 20 trees were toppled and several hundred had large branches ripped from the trunk. A large tree fell onto a house causing considerable damage. Golf ball size hail also accompanied the storm.
