During the later afternoon hours, thunderstorms erupted along a cold frontal boundary as it sank slowly south across the state. Most of the storms were just below severe criteria with winds of 40 to 50 MPH and hail up to marble size. One storm downed numerous trees in the town of Osceola in Clarke County as it passed. Winds were around 60 MPH at the time.
