Lightning was the cause of an attic fire in a family home. The children in the home, looking out the window, reported seeing a "fireball" next door. The parents heard a terrible crash, then discovered the fire. The fire was put out quickly by the homeowner. Besides some fire and water damage in the attic, one wall outlet, a cordless phone, and an air conditioner were damaged.
