Thunderstorms erupted over central Iowa along an old outflow boundary left from the previous nights convection. The air mass was very unstable with surface dew point temperatures at sunrise in the mid to upper 70s. Most of the storms only produced heavy rainfall, however one storm dropped one inch diameter hail on Indianola.
