During the afternoon and evening of June 30, a strong cold front moved through the Magic Valley and Upper Snake River Plain. The front brought sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with wind gusts up to 54 mph.

During the afternoon and evening of June 30, a strong cold front moved through the Magic Valley and Upper Snake River Plain. The front brought sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with wind gusts up to 54 mph. Numerous reports were received of large tree limbs blown down and a few trees toppled. In Pocatello a fire which severely damaged an office building was attributed to the wind blowing down a power line.
