Severe thunderstorms blew across far northeast Georgia on the evening of the Fourth, producing damaging winds and some large hail. Trees and power lines were downed across much of the above mentioned counties. Trees partially blocked Highway 28 east of Mountain City for a short time. A billboard was blown over along Highway 17 in Stephens county.
