In the backwash of the tornado outbreak in southeast Colorado, cold air moved in and an area of heavy snow broke out over the Palmer Divide, and Teller county and the Rampart Range, north and west of Colorado Springs. Four to 7 inches of snow fell, with 7 inches being reports at Monument, in northern El Paso county.
