A super-cell thunderstorm moved over Marion, Winston and Cullman counties with damaging wind and large hail. In Hamilton the wind knocked a tree on a house and knocked down several power lines. In Winston county, large hail was reported across the entire county and trees and power lines were downed in Haleyville and Ash Ridge. In Double Springs the hail was one inch deep. In and around the city of Cullman hail up to the size of baseballs was reported which did significant damage to cars in the area. Several large trees were downed onto homes and cars.
