Thunderstorms in portions of southwest and south-central during the afternoon and early evening hours on the 6th produced hail up to dime size, damaging winds, and flash flooding.Thunderstorm winds downed tree limbs in Barnes Junction and knocked a tree down on power lines in Red House.Heavy rainfall in portions of Halifax County resulted in the flooding of a creek 2 miles east of South Boston. A truck became stranded in the high water from the creek.
