A band of thunderstorms along the cold front moved through the Wasatch Front but no severe weather reports were received. Aboutan hour behind the front another line of thunderstorms developed. These thunderstorms were associated with the upper-level trough of the storm system. The first report of severe weather with this second line of thunderstorms again came from Tooele county. An automated anemometer on the Dugway military range measured a wind gust of 68 mph (59 kts) from a severe thunderstorm. No damage occurred as this wind sensor was on an uninhabited part of the range.
