Severe storms pounded extreme southeast Briscoe, southwest Hall, and northwest Motley Counties on the afternoon and early evening of the 7th. Up to golfball-size hail was reported by the public and county sheriff's offices from Quitaque and Turkey south to Flomot. It almost completely stripped crops (mainly cotton) across that area.
