Golfball to baseball size hail and 60 mph winds blasted Eldoradoand portions of Schleicher County and caused extensive damage.More than 700 homes sustained damage from hail and high winds, mostly broken windows. According to a farm service agency, 100 percent of the cotton and 75 percent of the grain crops in the county were wiped out by the hail.The winds damaged barns, blew off tin rooves, snapped telephone poles, and downed power lines.
