Thunderstorms across the northern and central Texas panhandle produced hail and damaging winds as reported by television meteorologist, local radio station and law enforcement agencies. Winds in Texhoma caused tree and roof damage, then increased to over 80 mph as the storm swept through Perryton.

Thunderstorms across the northern and central Texas panhandle produced hail and damaging winds as reported by television meteorologist, local radio station and law enforcement agencies. Winds in Texhoma caused tree and roof damage, then increased to over 80 mph as the storm swept through Perryton. In Perryton roofs were lifted off the local Bowling Alley and two lumber yards. Two radio towers were blown down, and numerous trees were damaged. Minor damage was reported to residential housing.
