A severe thunderstorm caused wind damage in Lower Providence Township. The strong winds also lifted a mother and child about one foot off the ground. Patio furniture was blown over. Shingles were ripped from roofs in the new Providence Woods development. The wind snapped tree tops and uprooted two trees along Lexington Avenue.
