Severe thunderstorm winds caused major damage in the Arnett area. Throughout the area numerous trees were broken or uprooted, small sheds were damaged or destroyed, and windows were broken out of homes and barns. At a residence just south of town, a stock trailer, a barn, and a grain bin were destroyed and several windows were blown out of the house. Arnett Public Schools reported that the roof from the high school auditorium and the swimming pool building were partially blown off, and the top portion of the north wall of the Technical Education building was blown in. Numerous power lines and trees were also downed.
