Trees were downed, some on power lines. Winds were reported gusting to 80 miles per hour. In Canton, a tree fell on a house and at least one on a car and roads were blocked by fallen trees. Trees were also downed in Plain Township, where the steeple of a church was knocked off. Downed trees and limbs were common in Jackson Township, Perry Township, and Lawrence Township where a transformer was set on fire. Trees were also down in Canal Fulton and Avonlea. Roads were blocked by fallen trees in Massillon.
