A trough of low pressure moved across Northern New York and Vermont during the day of Tuesday, June 11, 1996. This trough acted to trigger scattered thunderstorms across Northern New York with locally heavy rains causing flash flooding, thunderstorm wind damage and large hail.Trees and power lines were blown down by thunderstorm winds in Moira, Fort Covington and North Hudson. Flash Flooding was reported in Malone and Mineville with road washouts.
